Gondogoro La Trek

Trekking Baltoro  or Gondogoro La trek is one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in the world, offering stunning views of some of the highest mountains in the world.

Appropriate hiking boots: for the best result and to ensure warm and dry feet, it is recommended to opt for 2 pairs of hiking shoes.

Good Gloves – You should have gloves that are waterproof, warm and offer a good grip when holding the rope during the Gondogoro La Pass crossing.

Helmet: A head covering or helmet must be worn while attempting to cross the Gondogoro Pass.

Extra water and soft drinks: there is no possibility to refill your water bottle when you leave Ali Camp to start hiking. Fill the climb with a minimum of 2 liters of water and plenty of snacks or energy gels to absorb each night.

Crampons: There are different opinions about the use of crampons and the Gondogoro La. With years of experience crossing the LA Pass, crampons are no longer optional equipment and are mandatory. Crampons are essential for descending in icy conditions. If you’ve never used crampons before, leave them behind and get tips from your guide at Ali Camp or Concordia.
